Northern Michigan Weather in the 80's on the First Day of Spring!
2012 is a year like no other as far as I can ever remember living in Michigan. Swimmers in the lake last weekend, yes lake Michigan! No doubt the Lake is warmer than it would have been if the winter was normal, but it wasn't. I'm sure Lake Michigan was still pretty cold. Tempertures in the eighty's again today. The spring flowers are in bloom and leaves are budding on the trees. Hoping the weather at least stays above the freezing mark for the sake of all the crops! Farmers are concerned at this point with the weather attributing to the early budding by at least 3 weeks! Well maybe for spring break this year people will visit northern Michigan and spend time on our beaches and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Happy Spring Break!
